I got started writing HTML code (by hand) in 1996 as a way to teach myself what my students were all talking about. That first site gradually evolved into my professional site and eventually outgrew the scope of my courses so that I had to create sites just for those as well as cajole my colleagues into testing the internet waters.

I favor simple, clean, fast-loading designs without a lot of web "gizmos". As a teacher, I was always more interested in getting information across clearly than in showing off all the latest scripting tricks.

I left southern California in June of 2008 and am now finally enjoying retirement on the Central Coast of California in the little town of Los Osos.

I can offer very reasonable rates for small-scale web designs and, through my current host, very reasonable resale rates on hosting (about 50% of what I pay).
